CDR Maguire-EM Proudly Announces the Arrival of Michael Garner to our Emergency Management Services Division

CDR MAGUIRE-EM PROUDLY ANNOUNCES THE ARRIVAL OF MICHAEL GARNER TO OUR EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SERVICES DIVISION

 

Nationally recognized hazard mitigation planning and emergency management expert Michael Garner, GISP, CFM has joined CDR Maguire-EM’s rapidly growing roster of emergency management services specialists as a Hazard Mitigation Program Manager. Bringing nearly 20 years of local, state and national experience leading and supporting hazard mitigation, emergency management, and community resiliency planning, Mike will hit the ground running supporting CDR Maguire EM’s long list of emergency management assignments across the country. Mike has spent much of his career assisting the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in implementing several public programs focused on the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).

 

Mike specializes in state and local hazard mitigation plans, with past assignments in Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Maryland, Missouri, New Mexico, North Dakota, Ohio, and Wyoming. An advocate of collaborative public outreach, Mike has facilitated over 50 public meetings hosting the general public, focus groups and local and state officials. Mike will be a tremendous asset to our team assisting with recovery efforts from recent major disaster declarations and helping our clients with emergency preparedness planning for the future. Mike holds a B.S. in Earth Sciences from Pennsylvania State University and an M.S. in Crisis, Disaster and Risk Management from George Washington University.
