At the request of the Florida Division of Emergency Management, CDR|EM established a 100-person base camp (expanded to 144 on September 27) with wrap around services at the Sports Complex in Mayo, Lafayette County.
Within 24 hours of notice, CDR Emergency Management deployed a team of small Unmanned Aerial System (sUAS) pilots to Monroe County to conduct video and photographic documentation of public buildings as Ian neared the Florida Peninsula.
CDR-EM provides CDBG-DR contract administration services to GMC to assist with the implementation and management of the City of Kingsland Homeowner Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Program.
Following Hurricane Michael, Bay County was running the largest locally led debris operation in FEMA’s history. With over $200 million in “expended” funds, the county was in dire need of expedited reimbursement from the State and FEMA to keep its recovery efforts going.
CDR Maguire is currently supporting the state of Oregon in the recovery from the 2020 wildfires which encompasses over 1.2 million acres of land, more than 3,000 lots cleared, and $700 million of disaster recovery costs. We are assisting ODOT leadership as they have not had a federally declared disaster since 1997 navigate FEMA’s new PA Model utilizing the Grants Portal for the first time. Monitoring services and contract compliance resulted in average cost of debris removal per homesite of $63,000.
The community of Surfside in Miami-Dade County was severely impacted by the collapse of the Champlain Towers South Condominium. In an effort to provide informational resources to the families and community members affected by the collapse, FDEM leadership partnered with CDR Maguire for emergency response support, communication coordination and community outreach.
CDR Maguire was hired by Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) to provide monitor waterway debris operations along the St. Johns River and tributaries within St. Johns, Clay and Putnam Counties.
